THE TENTH HOUR PROJECT

THE TENTH HOUR PROJECT

Since 2021 Calvary Chapel Greer has been actively partnering with a Young Adult program in New Mexico called “The Tenth Hour Project”. Pastor Randy Lucero has traveled to Las Cruces, NM on multiple occasions to provide teaching during certain terms. Additionally, Calvary Chapel Greer has hosted both “The Tenth Hour Project” Teams and “Agents For Christ”* Ministry teams for events and special speakers here at the Church.

The Tenth Hour Project is an intensive eight-month discipleship program tailored for young adults ages 18-26. Participants will experience a transformative journey designed to profoundly impact their futures. This time set within a supportive community of like-minded believers, is dedicated to fostering a deep and authentic relationship with Jesus Christ. The aim of the program is for each student to emerge with a renewed perspective on their life’s purpose and mission. Whether called to pastoral ministry or vocational trades, (a pastor or a plumber!) “The Tenth Hour Project” promotes that God intends to use every life for His glory.

The program is structured as follows:

  • Three Months in Las Cruces, NM: Emphasis on comprehensive Biblical studies encompassing topics such as Old and New Testament surveys, Theology, Apologetics, and Evangelism.
  • A 6-week tour of the United States: Partnering with churches in various cities to provide evangelism training and facilitate outreach events
  • Three Months Overseas: Engaging in cross-cultural missions to gain invaluable global perspectives and practical experience.
  • Two Weeks in Las Cruces, NM: Finalizing the program with a debrief and prayerfully sending students of the program into the next phase of their life and their walk with the LORD.

*”The Tenth Hour Project” operates as an initiative under “Agents for Christ”.

John 1:35-39; “Again, the next day, John stood with two of his disciples. And looking at Jesus as He walked, he said, “Behold the Lamb of God!” The two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus. Then Jesus turned, and seeing them following, said to them, “What do you seek?” They said to Him, “Rabbi” (which is to say, when translated, Teacher), “Where are You staying?” He said to them, “Come and see.” They came and saw where He was staying, and remained with Him that day (now it was about the tenth hour).”
