CCG & UKRAINE

MISSIONS

Calvary Chapel Greer has a long-standing relationship with the Nation of Ukraine. Over the last 22 years, we’ve supported the work in Ukraine and taken dozens of people on mission trips to Ukraine.

It began in the late 1990s when the Calvary Chapel we served in Albuquerque sent a man named Shane to Dnipropetrovsk, Ukraine as a missionary. Shane was assisting Pastor Mike Pratt, who had been a Missionary to Ukraine since 1995. In 2000 Keli and I began praying about how we could better bless and support Shane’s work in Ukraine. The result of that prayer was a series of Youth & Young adult Mission trips to Ukraine, and on the first trip Pastor Mike and I became very close friends.

When we planted Calvary Chapel Greer in 2006, we continued our focus on Ukraine missions. We have many Ukrainian people in our Church, and for the last 3 years Alex Pratt, Mike’s son who grew up as a missionary in Ukraine, has been part of our staff here @CCG.

Mike has chosen to stay in L’viv to continue pastoring his Church, as well as sheltering refugees displaced by the war. Mike’s wife Michele, daughter Nicole, & Son-in-law josh are currently in Poland preparing to minister to Ukrainian refugees there.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

So how can you be involved? First of all, PRAY!! Prayer is the most important thing each of us can do. Second, you can give to the Ukrainian Refugee Relief fund. The money is being used to shelter, feed, & clothe refugees in L’viv and in Poland. It’s also being used to charter buses to transport refugees to various borders, then help them find shelter and supplies.
This week our team @CCG was able to order some much-needed supplies and have them shipped to Poland! We’re in constant contact with Mike and his team in L’viv, and with the Baldonados in Poland, and we expect the Lord to continue using our Church to support their work.
Thank you for your investment in this outreach. God bless you!
