In today’s world, the opportunity for men to experience good, godly relationships with one another is rare. Typically our interactions with other Christian men are limited to brief encounters at church. The Bible recounts examples of strong relationships like David and Jonathan, but this kind of relationship seems foreign to us.
The Ironworks men of Calvary Chapel Greer are on journey together to discover and experience what it means to live and grow as a disciple of Jesus. Each meeting helps us stay centered on the path Jesus has for us as we learn from God’s Word and then apply it to our lives. After a time of Bible study led by Pastor Mark and other church elders, we break into small groups for further discussion, encouragement, and edification. In this safe and non-judgmental environment, we confidentially share our life experiences and insights from God, and we realize we all come from a common place.
Men, we hope you'll bring your sons (age 15+), invite a friend, and join us! We gather every other Saturday of each month, refer to the Regularly Scheduled Events calendar to the right for scheduled study dates. We meet at 7:30AM in the Calvary Chapel of Greer Fellowship Hall and great home cooked breakfast is served with a suggested $2 or more donation.

Let's just admit it, ladies - we love any excuse to get together. Whether it's sharing family updates, exchanging time-saving tips, divulging a favorite recipe, or showing off our latest pair of shoes, we enjoy spending time together just for the fun of it. But friendly chit-chat over coffee isn't all we're about.
Women of the Word (WOW) helps us go beyond “just fun” as we seek spiritual growth and maturity, because growing in Christ doesn't just happen. It requires intent and diligence in seeking a closer relationship with Jesus.
As women, WOW helps us stay anchored in Jesus and His word. Our bible studies are focused on studying God’s word in its context and applying it to our lives today.
Whether you are young or old, married or single, there is nothing you will face as a woman that is uncommon. In 1 Cor 10:13 we read, “No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.”
One of the enemy’s favorite tactics is to try to convince us that we are alone and that no one cares about what we’re going through. He loves to get us to isolate ourselves from those who will pray for and encourage us to persevere and overcome.
That’s why it’s so important that we come together regularly. When we gather to share God’s word and our lives, we can see how our Heavenly Father uses our struggles and our victories to encourage us to pray for one another and help each other carry those burdens to Him.
We meet every other Thursday of each month, refer to the Regularly Scheduled Events calendar to the right for scheduled study dates. We offer a morning (9:30 - 11) or evening (7:00 - 8:30) study to accommodate everyone’s schedule. We will be finishing up our study, Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World on November 8 and will resume with a new study in January.
Our studies are interactive, and we always have time for refreshments and fellowship before and after. Childcare is available if arranged beforehand.
